Daily Devotion: May 19

Ecclesiastes 8:7
“Since no man knows the future, who can tell him what is to come?”

Many have claimed to know the future, many of us look forward to what is to come, we gaze into our tomorrows and await for what is next.  But what happens to the present?

God is the only one that has access to what is “not yet”, He is the One that is not limited by time and the only One who knows what will happen “tomorrow”. I once read a quote that said, “while you are moving forward through time, you never set foot on anything but the present moment.’” Be set free by living fully in the present, leaving “tomorrow” to the only One who knows what that will bring.  There is so much joy in living for today (because God is with you) and once that moment in the present is gone, it will never be again.
