Daily Devotion: May 18

Psalms 19:1
“The heavens declare the glory of God..”.

Late one summer night, on the dark desolate Arizona highway, as I was driving home to Chula Vista from Flagstaff, I was enjoying the brilliant canopy of stars and often working the radio dial as stations faded out. At one point I found Dr. D. James Kennedy giving a sermon on the zodiac; not to the corrupted zodiac of astrology, but the original, placed in the constellations by God at the time of creation. In Job 38:32 God calls it the Mazzaroth. It’s our plan of redemption. He had everything planned from the first day and it is written in the stars. The heavens declare the glory of God.

We are now struggling through a world crisis, but this season is in God’s plan. We can find comfort in that. Hopefully we can use the time to draw closer to Him. It’s His desire.

I am so thankful for the peace that only the Lord can give. He IS in control over all things. He is ALMIGHTY.
