Daily Devotion: March 30

Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT
““But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”

How do we trust the Lord and make Him our hope and confidence?
By Remembering....
Remind your soul who He is.
Is Anything too hard for God? The same God who parted the Red Sea and Raised Jesus from the dead can handle our circumstances.

Who is He?

He is:
Jehovah Shalom - God our Peace
Jehovah Jireh - God our Provider
Jehovah Raah - God our Shepherd
El Roy - The God who sees us
What does the Bible say about His nature/character?
He is:
Faithful All Knowing Compassionate Trustworthy ....

Remember who you are in Christ.

You are:
A child of the Living God
An heir of all His inheritance
Victorious
More than a conqueror
More valuable than many sparrows
He passionately pursued you until your heart belonged to Him

And lastly,

Remember what He has already done for you.
“God’s past faithfulness demands our current trust”.

He gave Himself for you on the cross
He paid all your penalties with His blood
He rescued you from sin and death
In addition to all this, He has already done things to strengthen your faith by answering prayers. What has He provided? What mountain has He moved? What miracle has He done?
What is His Spirit showing you in your current situation? What promise is He speaking anew and afresh as a reminder to you?

Is He reminding you ...
to “Be still and know that He is God”?. Ps. 46:10
Or “To trust in the Lord with all your heart” ?Prov 3:5
Or that “He will never leave you nor forsake you”? Deuteronomy 31:6
Look for Him in the details as you trust in Him and make Him your Hope and Confidence and become unmovable, unshakable trees that bear much fruit!
